I"LL TAKE ANY MATCHING SETS YOU'VE GOT!

I’ve got a retreat coming up. It’s just a quick weekend trip up to Chicago and back, but I am already planning the outfits!  I wasn’t going to… until I was sitting at my weekly “iced tea meeting” with one of my best girlfriends discussing the tracking down of any and all cashmere matching sets (right down to the matching cashmere hat and socks!).  I haven't bought the socks or hat yet but it isn’t too late! OH, and matching gloves too (yeah… that is way too much matching…or is it?).

If you haven’t caught on, I have a real thing for matching sets.

It’s a freaking Saturday night and I have literally spent a couple hours just looking through sites and reading reviews of mongolian cashmere on Quince vs. the cashmere jet set from Alo….. double the price with a limited edition navy set that isn't here for long (It’s tempting).

Granted, once I finish writing this blog - I probably will have already purchased one set with another in a shopping cart. And let’s not forget about the hiking boots I also need to purchase!  Good thing I re-read the retreat details because I totally missed the hiking. So, of course, I have an eye on a pair that is LNWT from Cole Haan on Poshmark and let me just mention that they are leopard print with blush laces (I mean just saying that tells me I better put in an offer right now!).

I’ve always loved matching sweatsuits (who doesn’t).  Comfort and one set color scheme is right up my alley.  It wouldn't be right if I also didn't fall in love with silk matching sets, and I will search the dark web for any and all matching missoni sets!  …Ok, not the dark web but I am one of those shoppers where if a matching set comes in I will get a call. Yeah, I’m not married!

This week I decided to pick up a wool off the shoulder number with a matching wide pant in gray.  Yes, this is one of the matching set options that will be sitting next to my suitcase ready to be packed for Chicago.  I already have this idea of pairing it with an Elizabeth and James Leather Biker jacket (like this one that I already own), my new Freda Salvador sneakers and a Burberry oversized scarf.

Did I forget to mention that this is a meditation and healing retreat?

Yeah, and I am all about the freakin matching sets. It’s no wonder I needed to book this retreat.  I can hear her now… “This isn't a fashion show…”

Or is it????

Here is a list of some of my favorite matching sets and correlating potential matching sets (sold separately) that are currently available from some of my favorite brands.

Free People - Yes, add a thick sock with a clog or Birkenstock.

Monrow - Preppy and pretty .

The Upside - Add an oversized neutral or patterned chunky cardigan and it’s done!

Pangaia - Loving this color and hoodie combo.

Sporty & Rich - I am trying to track down a matching pant set from this line.

Reformation - Everyone needs a go-to all black number - pair the sweatshirt with the boyfriend sweatpant - I like how they paired the black jogger with a brown boot!

Naadam - Absolutely beautiful! I will take them in all colors.

Pair these with the recycled cashmere jogger  - I am also loving this ribbed cashmere henley and the recycled cashmere biker short from Naadam.

RicherPoorer - Love this recycled fleece cropped set in all 3 colors!

Olivia Von Halle - Can someone please buy this set and then resell it? Stunning!

Come Back As A Flower - Who doesn’t like a good tie dye set, am I right?
