I will just say it…You do not have to have a matching shell under your Cardigan these days.  Back when I was growing up, matching camisoles and matching shells with cardigans were all the rage.  When you went shopping you were shopping for “a set”.  Am I Right?

If you've been reading my blogs you probably know I recently went on vacation.  Months before the trip was even planned I had come across this amazing cardigan from Pinko on a resale site. 

 

I watched it for a few weeks until I just decided to splurge and purchase.  The cardigan was delivered and immediately I fell in love with the pattern, fabric and the vibrant colors.

When I started packing for my trip I knew I didn’t want to do the black oversized fringe cover-up or my Missoni Poncho that were my usual go to’s for beach outings.  Instead, I went for my vibrant Pinko cardigan that I knew would not disappoint.  As you can see from the pic above I actually had a hat in my closet that matched too (the crazy things we buy and then USE)! 


I LOVE IT!

So…as Fall is in the air - My Cardigan search has re-emerged. 

For my fall closet edit…  I recently picked up 2 brightly colored wool cardigans from the repurposing LORDS at  RE/DONE.

Oh my… that company had me with their reconstructed Levi’s and now I am hooked on their 90’s oversized Cardigans….and have a feeling I will soon be hooked on their Cardigan Vests.  AHAHAHHAHAHA! I am constantly scouring the resale sites for these pieces…and at a good deal!  

So as you go into your closet for your fall edit - I hope you look to see if you might already have that oversized cardigan minus the shell that you could pull on… but if not..they will be hard to miss, find and buy this season.


Just take it from me…and use one as a cover-up for your next trip or buy an oversized one and make it into a dress.  The Cardigan saga continues….but we love that…Right!
